So, yes, you can sit on a Cajon, in the most relaxed and comfortable way possible. Percussionists sits on cajon generally with a straight back and uses their hands, palms, and fingertips to produce sounds. Your sitting position may vary on the type of sound you have in mind. For example, one may also lean forward a bit to access all over the front part.
